Yame no Hikari (八女の光) — "the light of Yame" — is an imperial grade, first harvest matcha from Yame, Fukuoka, one of Japan's most prestigious tea regions known for exceptional sweetness and umami.

Single-cultivar Tsuyuhikari, which is where the intensity of the aroma comes from. The nose is emphatically floral, and the cup is mellow and rounded rather than sharp, with strong umami opening into a deep, lingering sweetness.
