Between Yame no Mukashi and Wakei I love them both, but i kinda like Wakei better with my matcha latte! Great quality!
lately, i’ve been making my mornings slower with this Uji no Mukashi ceremonial grade matcha.
it has a smooth and creamy texture with a fresh vegetal taste and a light natural sweetness that makes it really easy to enjoy. the flavor feels balanced. rich in umami without being too bitter, especially as an iced latte. definitely one of those matchas that feels calming and comforting with every sip 💖
- mossy green w/ slight golden tint
- its aroma is sweet and kinda nutty
as an usucha - it is naturally sweet, smooth, a bit creamy, mellow umami, no bitterness & astringency, slight nutty/dry finish.
as a latte - it is smoother, creamier, umami pops more, less dryness!
for me Wakokoro's Yame no Mukashi is smooth, naturally sweet, and easy to enjoy. also great for everyday lattes and super beginner-friendly.
