Uji Flavored Matcha Chocolate

Chocolate Matcha (チョコレート抹茶) is matcha scented with chocolate. It is at its best as an iced latte with milk or oat milk.

The base: half of the blend is authentic ceremonial-grade Uji matcha from Kyoto. The other half is a Japanese domestic blend of 1st and 2nd harvest leaves — chosen deliberately, because it keeps the matcha character present once milk is added.

How to serve: whisk 4 g of matcha into 30 ml of hot or cold water until fully dissolved, then add 160 ml of milk or oat milk and ice. No sugar or syrup needed — the flavor comes through better without them.
