Imperial Ceremonial Grade Matcha Sample Set

Seven first-harvest matcha at the top of our ceremonial range. Imperial grade is made for tea service: rich umami, natural sweetness and a colour that stands out in the bowl. Suitable for Koicha as well as Usucha.

• Uji no Shiro 宇治の白 — stone-milled Uji first harvest, creamy and silky
• Renge 蓮華 — floral aroma with a silky, clean finish and no bitterness, in a vibrant colour
• Yame no Hana 八女の華 — fragrant, deep green, clean finish
• Yame no Hikari 八女の光 — single-cultivar Tsuyuhikari, intensely floral with strong umami and a deep sweetness
• Kaede 楓 — the boldest roast in the range: intensely nutty, and the one that survives milk best
• Kannabi 神奈備 — natural sweetness and clear umami; floral with tart fruit when served straight
• Organic Tokiwa 常盤 — JAS certified organic, nutty and roasted with a refined bitterness
