Yame Matcha Yame no Hana

I love this matcha. I drink matcha everyday and I love this one the most. The color is perfect, with a strong matcha taste. I use 2% milk and the milk doesn’t overpower it. My go to recipe is 4gr matcha + 125ml milk + 20gr of strawberry jam.

Yame no Hana has such a beautiful, deep green color, and I genuinely love the balance between its nutty notes and gentle bitterness. There’s something about the way these flavors come together that makes it so enjoyable to me. It has just the right amount of bitterness, and when I make it into a latte, it pairs perfectly with the milk while still letting the matcha shine through. I’ve tried different matchas, but this is the one I keep coming back to. It has become my absolute favorite for lattes, and I honestly can’t imagine getting tired of it!

Yame no Hana has a really distinctive nutty aroma, which is the part I enjoy most about this matcha. The aroma is rich and noticeable, and it works especially well in a latte because the character of the tea still comes through even with milk.

In terms of taste, it has a nice depth and a fairly strong presence, but there is also a noticeable bitterness that stays through the finish. For my personal preference, I would love this profile even more if the bitterness were slightly softer, as the nutty aroma itself is already very appealing.

Overall, I think this is a great choice for someone who enjoys a matcha with a bold character and enough strength to stand up well in milk-based drinks. If you are particularly sensitive to bitterness, though, that is something worth keeping in mind.

The color is good, but for me it is far too grassy and it smells a little sea-weedy.

The aroma alone is excellent. Tastes wonderful on its own and with milk, with great body. I like it.
