Great quality chasen. I haven’t experienced any splintering like another reviewer mentioned. Since it’s made from natural bamboo, you do need to handle it with a little care. I soak mine in warm water for about 2 minutes before each use to soften and make the bristles more flexible. This helps prevent breakage while whisking and should help the chasen last longer.
