Sayama, in Saitama Prefecture, is one of Japan's three historic tea regions — famed for centuries yet producing only a fraction of the nation's tea. Matcha from Sayama is a genuine rarity. Only a handful of 1kg bags are available; once they are gone, this tea will not be restocked.
