About Tokoname-yaki

Tokoname-yaki is one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, with a history of over 1,000 years, dating back to the late Heian period.
Renowned for its teapots and functional ceramics, Tokoname was officially designated as a Traditional Craft of Japan in 1976 under the national law for the promotion of traditional craft industries.
