About Tokoname-yaki
Tokoname-yaki is one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, with a history spanning over 1,000 years, dating back to the late Heian period.
Tokoname has long been renowned for its teapots and daily-use ceramics, and in 1976, it was officially designated as a Traditional Craft of Japan under the national law for the promotion of traditional craft industries.
